Heather always dreamt of getting married amongst the trees. That she would one day walk with the person she loves most in a row of them. Eventually she met, dated Rah. Because of the state of things in our country, they never thought that they would ever be able to get married. But with marriage equality, things changed and they got engaged!
When they decided to get married in Asheville (instead of Washington DC where they live), they took a tour at Yesterday Spaces. Little did she know that there is a row of magical trees made by an old carriage road. As soon as she saw it she knew that this was the place they would have to get married!
These two wanted to create a celebration for their love, and boy, was it!!! There was pink and glitter everywhere! Their friends and family came from all over to see them get married and to party with them. Heather is a musician and Rah is a photographer - so naturally there was a LOT of great music and a lot of photos to be taken!
FAVORITE MOMENT: The First Look - It was MUCH anticipated for these two and so important for this moment to be private. They ate it up and totally relaxed after having had this moment. I mean, look at their faces!!
FAVORITE DETAIL: The Floral Sash - Rah isn't a bride and isn't a groom. She didn't feel as if she could wear a boutonniere or carry a bouquet, but wanted something. She saw a really cool elopement on instagram which had a floral sash and texted me right away to ask if I would make this for her! I did and look at it over Rah's custom suit!!
